In the wake of criticism that the death of a 76 year-old diabetic woman may have been related

Referring to Mrs. Washington, the 76-year old diabetic who died while Bush held his press conference, FOX news pundit Morton Kondrake pointed out that Mrs. Washington had had a political agenda for longer than she had been a diabetic, and was a lifelong Democrat who "might...and I'm not saying she did, but she might well have died just to embarrass the President."

Tucker Carlson, on his program The Situation, was not equivocating. “Mrs. Washington had voted in every Presidential and Congressional Election since the passage of the Voting Rights Act- this in one of many Republican states where residents of poor black neighborhoods were routinely denied the same number of voting machines that wealthier neighborhoods received,” he explained.  “Only someone with a real hatred for the President would have stood in line for hours to vote, so I do think we have to look at her motivations.  I mean, as a diabetic, her feet would have been so swollen.  Clearly this was a woman who put her hatred for America before her health on more than one occasion in the past.”

Added guest Ann Coulter “I heard from one of my liberal friends that KanYe West is offering people ,000 to die in public view during any press conference.”

Later, Coulter elaborated “Besides, we can’t be sure that the helicopter would have reached her in time even if it hadn’t been delayed.  She’d been without food for days at that point, so it seems ridiculous to play the ‘Blame Game’ except to say that she should have checked out of Mercy Hospital days ago if they were out of food, and I think it’s racist to say she shouldn’t have known that.”

Rush Limbaugh claimed "This is Casey Sheehan all over again."

Some conservatives have claimed that Specialist Sheehan had gone to Iraq, despite his opposition to the war, and volunteered for a mission to help wounded fellow soldiers specifically so that he could die and embarrass the President.  The Conservative website Newsmax.com has taken to referring to Specialist Sheehan as "Mujahadeen Sheehan," claiming that he "essentially went on a suicide mission so that his mother could humiliate our Commander-in-Chief."

In a related story, White House Spokesman Scott McClellan angrily denied that the administration had considered having children thrown into the floodwaters so that the President could be filmed pulling them out.

“We only have the word of a few welfare mothers that they were told their checks wouldn’t come unless their children were in the water when the President arrived,” McClellan explained.  Put that against the full faith and credit of the office of the Presidency, and you see this is a non-story being reported in the liberal media.”

“That’s what you people do- report non-stories,” McClellan added.  “You should be called anti-journalists, or something, because nothing you say is news.”

Later, in another press briefing, Vice President Dick Cheney angrily did not quite deny the allegations.  “I’m not here to discuss who suggested throwing whose children into water how toxic or why.  There’ll be time to play the ‘Blame Game’ later, but for now I’m just focused on scowling.”  He then proceeded to glower at the members of the news media present for nearly a minute before asking “Don’t you have some incredibly biased stories to file?”
